About the Dwadasamsa Chart (D12)
The Dwadasamsa chart (D12) divides each sign into twelve equal parts of 2°30' each. It is the chart of parents, ancestral lineage, and inherited karma.
The 4th house in D12 represents the mother and maternal heritage, while the 9th house represents the father and paternal lineage. Malefics afflicting these houses in D12 can indicate difficulties for parents.
Pitra dosha factors are often confirmed by examining D12, making it a critical chart for understanding karmic obligations carried from one's lineage.
