About the Navamsa Chart (D9)

The Navamsa (D9) is considered the most important divisional chart after the D1 birth chart. It divides each sign into nine equal parts of 3°20' each, corresponding to the Navamsas of nine planets.

The Navamsa chart reveals the strength of planets in a deeper dharmic sense — how they manifest over time, especially in the second half of life. A planet that appears weak in D1 but is strong in D9 often delivers its results positively.

Marriage, spouse characteristics, dharmic path, and spiritual evolution are all judged from the Navamsa. The 7th house and its lord in D9 describe the nature of the life partner.
