Short answer

Quick answer: when will I get married?

When will I get married? The AI astrologer answers this by checking three things in your kundli. Does your 7th house support marriage? Is a planet connected to marriage running its dasha? Are Jupiter and Saturn both touching your 7th house or its lord at that time? Where all three meet, you get a likely window of a few months to two years. You'll need your date, time and place of birth.

Three things line up

  1. 1

A 7th house that supports marriage

  2. 2

    A dasha linked to marriage

  3. 3

Jupiter and Saturn activating the 7th

The method

How your marriage timing is worked out

01

Step 1: Does your chart support marriage?

First, the AI astrologer looks at your 7th house, the planet that rules it (your 7th lord) and any planets sitting in or aspecting that house. It then checks the same points in your Navamsa (D9). If both charts agree, marriage is clearly promised and the timing question makes sense.

02

Step 2: Which dasha brings it?

Most marriages happen during the dasha of a planet tied to marriage: your 7th lord, your Lagna lord, the Lagna lord of your Navamsa, Venus, Rahu, or a planet in or aspecting the 7th house. The mahadasha gives the broad phase. The antardasha inside it is where the timing gets narrower.

03

Step 3: Do Jupiter and Saturn agree?

The last check is the double transit, a classical timing rule. During a supportive dasha, both Jupiter and Saturn should be influencing at least two of these points at once: your 7th house, 7th lord, Lagna or Lagna lord, counted from the Lagna or the Moon.

Chart factors

What the AI astrologer looks at in your kundli

Your 7th house

The 7th house covers marriage and long-term partnership. Its sign and the planets in or aspecting it say a lot about how marriage comes to you. Jupiter or Venus in this house makes things easier. Saturn, Rahu or Mars there can mean more effort, more negotiation or simply a later start.

Your 7th lord

Whichever planet rules the sign on your 7th house becomes your 7th lord. For someone with Libra rising, that's Mars; for Aries rising, it's Venus. How strong this planet is, which house it occupies and which planets it sits with all affect timing. Its own dasha is one of the most common times people marry.

Venus

Venus is the karaka, or natural significator, of marriage in Vedic astrology. A strong Venus tends to bring relationships without much struggle, and a Venus antardasha is a common time for a proposal to turn serious. A weak Venus doesn't rule marriage out. It just means the other factors carry more weight.

Navamsa (D9)

The Navamsa splits each sign into nine parts and is read mainly for marriage. It works as a second opinion on the birth chart. A 7th house that looks fine in the main chart but weak in the Navamsa can mean a slower road to marriage. When both look good, the promise is firm.

Your dasha periods

Vimshottari dasha splits your life into planetary periods lasting from 6 to 20 years, each divided into shorter antardashas. That's why two friends born in the same year can marry a decade apart. Marriage tends to arrive in the period of a planet linked to your 7th house, and the antardasha is where the timing gets specific.

Jupiter and Saturn in transit

Jupiter takes about a year to move through a sign and Saturn about two and a half, so their positions change slowly enough to mark big life events. For marriage, the AI astrologer checks whether both are influencing your 7th house, 7th lord, Lagna or Lagna lord at the same time. A good transit with no supporting dasha rarely brings marriage by itself.

What kind of answer you'll get

Expect years and months rather than a single day. The reading names the dasha periods that favour marriage, gives their start and end, and flags the stretch inside them where the transits line up. For some charts that's a six-month window; for others it's closer to two years. Finding the person and saying yes is still up to you and your family.

Common worries

If you're worried about delay

Saturn on your 7th house

Saturn in the 7th house, or aspecting the 7th lord, is one of the most common reasons a chart shows marriage later than friends and family expect, often in the late twenties or thirties. There's an old saying that Saturn delays but doesn't deny. Marriages that come under Saturn's influence are often steady ones. The reading shows which later period opens up for you.

Being Manglik

Being Manglik means Mars sits in the 1st, 4th, 7th, 8th or 12th house of your chart, and some traditions add the 2nd. Counting from the Lagna alone, around 40% of charts have Mars in one of those houses, so it is far more common than the worry around it suggests. It is one factor among many. When a match is being considered, compare both charts on the matchmaking page.

Your period just hasn't come yet

Sometimes everything about the 7th house looks healthy, but you're running the dasha of a planet with no link to marriage. From the outside this looks like delay. In the chart it's more like a queue. Knowing that the next useful antardasha starts in, say, 14 months can take a lot of pressure off, for you and for your family.

Scope of the reading

What This Reading Can and Can't Tell You

Can

  • Which periods in your chart favour marriage
  • Whether your chart leans towards an earlier or later marriage
  • Which planets are behind the timing
  • How your next periods compare with the one you're in now

Can't

  • The exact date of your wedding
  • Who you will marry, or their name
  • A promise that marriage happens inside the window
  • Choices that belong to you, your partner and your family

Worked example

Example: a Libra rising chart (fictional)

Not a real person's chart

Take a fictional woman with Libra rising. Her 7th house is Aries, so Mars is her 7th lord, and it sits in the 11th house of gains. Venus rules her Lagna and is well placed. Her Navamsa repeats the picture, so marriage is promised. She is 27 and running Saturn mahadasha with Ketu antardasha. Ketu has no link to her 7th house, two proposals have gone nowhere, and her parents are starting to worry. Venus antardasha starts next. About halfway into it, Jupiter and Saturn both begin influencing her 7th house and her Lagna. The reading marks roughly the second half of that Venus period, around 12 to 18 months, as her strongest window for marriage. Before that, meetings and conversations can still happen, but the chart gives them less backing.

Questions people ask

Frequently Asked Questions

When will I get married according to astrology (shadi kab hogi)?+

It depends on your chart, and the answer comes as a window rather than a day. The AI astrologer looks for a dasha of a planet tied to your 7th house, like your 7th lord or Venus, and then checks whether Jupiter and Saturn are both touching your 7th house or its lord during that time. Add your date, time and place of birth to see where that window falls.

How does my kundli show the timing of marriage?+

In layers. The 7th house, 7th lord and Navamsa tell you whether marriage is promised. Your Vimshottari dasha shows which planetary periods can deliver it. The double transit of Jupiter and Saturn then narrows that period down. If one layer is missing, say a good dasha with no transit support, the timing indication is weaker.

Can astrology tell me my exact wedding date?+

Not reliably. What your chart can show is a stretch of time, somewhere between a few months and two years, when marriage is most supported. The actual date depends on meeting someone, family talks and plenty of practical things. Once a marriage is fixed, many families ask for a muhurta to choose an auspicious date, which is a separate calculation.

Which dasha is good for marriage?+

The usual candidates are the dashas of your 7th lord, your Lagna lord, the Lagna lord of your Navamsa, Venus, Rahu, and any planet placed in or aspecting your 7th house. Which one matters most is different for every chart. Watch the antardashas too: marriage often happens in a short sub-period, even when the mahadasha lord has no link to the 7th house.

What is the Jupiter and Saturn double transit?+

It's a classical rule for timing major life events. When Jupiter and Saturn both influence the same key points in your chart at the same time, events tied to those points become more likely. For marriage, the points are your 7th house, 7th lord, Lagna and Lagna lord, counted from your Lagna or Moon. It only works as a trigger when the dasha already supports marriage.

Why is the Navamsa checked for marriage?+

The birth chart on its own can make marriage look easier or harder than it really is. The Navamsa, or D9, is the divisional chart traditionally read for marriage, and it works as a cross-check. A 7th house that holds up in both charts gives a firmer promise. The Navamsa's Lagna lord is also one of the planets whose dasha can bring marriage.

Does Venus decide when I get married?+

Venus matters, but it doesn't decide on its own. As the karaka of marriage, a strong Venus makes relationships come more easily, and its antardasha is a common time for marriage. Still, a chart with a modest Venus and a strong 7th lord can marry right on time. The AI astrologer reads Venus alongside your 7th house, Navamsa and transits.

How accurate is marriage prediction by date of birth?+

It is only as accurate as the birth time you give. The ascendant changes sign roughly every two hours, and when it does, a different planet becomes your 7th lord. With the right date, time and place of birth, the dasha and transit calculations are precise. The interpretation still describes favourable conditions, so treat it as guidance.

Can I get married outside the period my chart shows?+

Yes. A favourable period makes marriage more likely, but the rest of your life isn't closed off. People marry in quieter periods too, sometimes with a bit more effort or compromise along the way. If that happens, your chart can still describe the phase of life the two of you are starting.

Astrology describes tendencies and favourable periods in your chart, it cannot guarantee outcomes. Your choices, effort and circumstances shape what actually happens.
